The Department of Workforce Services mission is to enable the Arkansas workforce to compete in the global economy by linking a comprehensive array of services for employees and job seekers. Services include career counseling;academic advising and assistance with college admission and financial aid forms;employment assistance for people over age 55 years or older;job training for ages 16-24;assessment,counseling,and training for people with disabilities,services for the blind;job placement;veterans employment services;unemployment insurance benefits services;job placement assistance for TEA recipients;Workforce Investment Act (WIA)Title I Program (core and intensive services offered0;transportation services; labor market information; and information and referrals to other human services providers.
